A closer look
This conference examined the strategies needed to conserve Lebanon’s geosites, including the founding of a geopark. It was aimed primarily at academics, but also welcomed students, scientists, engineers, authorities, and practitioners.
The event was prepared in collaboration between ACE and CREEMO (Centre de Recherche en Environnement – Espace Méditerranée Orientale) of Université Saint Joseph (USJ), and was hosted at USJ. By bringing together researchers and decision-makers, it helped build shared understanding of how Lebanon’s geological heritage can be protected and valorised.
