In collaboration with Association Chabbat Aley, this project promotes sorting at source and the recycling of solid waste components. The work centres on public events, where waste is generated quickly and awareness can reach a wide audience.
ACE set up designated spots and provided containers for waste separation at these events, and delivered awareness sessions on waste sorting, recycling, and composting. Flyers and other communication material supported the outreach, helping visitors understand how and why to sort their waste.
To close the loop, ACE coordinated with the municipality to organise waste collection and ensure that recyclables reached the Zahle solid-waste facility, turning one-off events into a lasting contribution to better waste management.
